Happy New Year!

The busy holiday season is finally behind us.  The kids were spoiled once again this year, by family and by Santa.  Jimmy got a Nintendo DSi. (I wish I had a quarter for every time he said DSi that day, I coulda made a lot of money!)  Gina got a Just-Like-Me American Girl Doll, which she named Natalie Grace. After Christmas they went to spend the week at Gramma Karen's.
Tomorrow it's back to reality.  Back to early mornings, back to structure and schedule, back to LIFE. This holiday season sure did fly by fast.  And I expect the future won't slow down any either.

My job is going well and being a new month I'll be learning some more new duties of the position that go with payroll.  Daryl is still working for the auto body shop with no return to the railroad in sight yet.  And being the beginning of the year, I suppose it's time to write out my resolutions.  I know the odds of accomplishing them are usually small, but nevertheless its a nice way to take stock of where you are and where you'd like to be someday.  But that's another entry, that I'll get to hopefully sooner rather than later.

My reality came crashing down as the children returned home today. :P
