Merry Christmas 2009!

Merry Christmas, Seasons Greetings, Happy Holidays and all that jazz to all of you!  Thought I'd share our little trip to Santa.  Jimmy had NO hesitation and plopped right on his lap and immediately told him what he wanted.  I really didn't know if we'd have Santa visiting for Gina this year but alas he's coming to leave her something too.  Here's a pic of the pics taken, cuz I'm too busy lazy to hook up to the scanner right now :P

what happened things in only 3s?

I have had THE day from h - e - double hockey sticks.

My morning began at 4:15 a.m. when my alarm went off.  I headed off to the gym for my personal training session.  I love my trainer, she pushes me to do way more than I would make myself do.  And at about 25 minutes out of the 30 minute session I felt nauseous.  Great workout! lol   Daryl was nice enough to take the kids to school today so I showered at the gym and figured I'd head to work early.

I stopped to grab some food and drink at the convenience store and upon heading out again I hit snow/ice while coming to a stoplight and couldn't stop.  Bam!  Great, just great.  Got out, looked, and couldn't believe there was no visible damage.  So the other owner and I exchanged insurance info and went on our ways.

Now, thankfully my third day at the new job went just fine.  I'm really enjoying the workplace, coworkers are friendly and helpful, and the hours are flexible.  Being I cut my last two lunches short and came in early today, I left at 3:30. I figured I'd stop and get my allergy shots.  But after I'd pulled up, got out and walked half way to the building I remembered that they don't give allergy shots on Wednesday afternoons.  So much for that.  I grabbed a Starbucks, I figured I deserved some comfort food after the yucky day.

Went to get the kids and came home.  By now I had a blasting headache.  My goal was to get dinner made and then relax.   While pulling a mixing bowl out to make up some homemade mac & cheese I dropped the bowl and it shattered, and somehow managed to wedge between the counter and dishwasher door.  Click here to see my awesome skillz.

Approximately an hour later I noticed my foot felt odd, and I looked to see blood all over.  Apparently part of the glass cut me and I didn't realize it.  To add into the foot issues, I checked the shoes I wore today cuz I could tell something didn't fit right.  The gel insoles leaked.  Now I have goo all over the inside of my right shoe heel.

So, now that my husband is finally home, I think I'm going to head to bed and hope that stops the bad karma of today.  Good night world!

Scrambled Catch Up Skillet

My brain just hasn't been into trying to record anything into words that don't have anything to do with To Do Lists since my last post.  I've been all about getting what I need to get done before I don't have all day to do it anymore.

The kids will start daycare today.  It's an adjustment time for them as much as it is for me before we HAVE to do it next week.  And my body has jumped right on the bandwagon of less sleep, I've been waking up long before my alarm goes off.  I've managed to get almost all of the Christmas pressie shopping done.  I've got my Christmas Cards almost done so I can get them mailed out.

An unexpected surprise out of myself though, I cleaned up the "dungeon" aka our basement.  It's so easy to just put stuff down there and forget about it.  And over time it's gets very cluttered.  I threw out three kitchen trashbags so far, and I know there could be more if I keep cleaning.  I've finally thrown out treasures junk such as old 3.5" floppy disks, a phone book from 1999, and oodles of paper & cardboard from boxes.

What hasn't been on my list is watching my diet closely or exercising.  Those were two things that Were at the top of my list and life got in the way.  Emotional eating, sick kids, out of town trips, etc all got in the way.  Sadly the Six Week Challange for SOTSJ isn't going so well for me.  Thankfully the scale is still hanging in my normal +/- 3 pound range I seem to hang in, not having lost anything but at least not having gained either.  And I have squat to add to miles for the Globetrotter Challenge.

Now if you'll excuse me, the little drill sargent voice in my head is telling me to get back to work at organizing.
